PWR-Foil the official sponsor of the KOTL 2024 e-foil race
The 21st King of the Lake took place from 13 to 15 September in Portalban, organised by the Swisskite Club. For those who don't know about this event, it's a not-to-be-missed sporting rendezvous where fans and competitors come together every year.
E-foil in action: organising a breathtaking race!
At PWR-Foil, we're starting to get to grips with the diversity of disciplines present at e-foil events. And like any serious competition, this race started with a good hour's warm-up, for both the machines and the riders. Participants were able to use the designated area to adapt to the terrain and test their equipment before getting down to business.
Then it was time for the slalom! Time trials were used to determine the order of the race numbers. Each rider had two attempts at the decisive run, and it was the best of the two times that determined the final ranking. And this year, the suspense was at its height: the gaps were decided by just a few hundredths of a second. Some of the buoys were placed in such a way as to make the turns very technical, and several participants bit the dust... but that's the charm of the competition!
A strong presence of PWR-Foil e-foils
As a sponsor, we were very proud to see our PWR-Foil e-foils out in force at this event! The gathering brought together passionate riders, some of whom were loyal to our first versions, such as the V2s, which continue to prove their robustness and performance after several years. We also saw some superb custom boards, adapted to the specific preferences of their owners, as well as our Paulownia models, renowned for their aesthetics and exceptional quality.
On the other hand, it was also exciting to see new riders discovering our latest creations, in particular the Deep Blue models, which proved to be perfect for this kind of competition. These e-foils, which combine performance and manoeuvrability, offered a whole new range of sensations, appealing to regular riders and newcomers alike. Whether for speed, stability or responsiveness in tight corners, the Deep Blue proved to be the ideal tool for shining in these intense events.

For this 21st edition of the King of the Lake, PWR-Foil was proud to be the official sponsor of the e-foil event. Léo Jauzy, a member of the PWR-Foil team, shone by taking 3rd place on the podium. Well done to him! Congratulations to Christophe Carpi, a long-time PWR-Foil rider, on his gold medal at the King of the Lake 2024!
