Winterising your PWR-Foil e-foil
We're not afraid of the cold, and we'll keep on going even when the snow is falling ❄️ If you're leaving your e-foil to rest over the winter and want to ensure optimum preservation, here's our advice:
Preparation before storage: Rinse, dismantle, clean and grease the components. Prevent the motor from seizing by soaking it in a tub of fresh water for 1 day.
Rinse the board and allow it to air dry completely before storage.
Cleaning components: Do not use alcohol-based products or any other flammable solvent to clean the various components of the PWR-Foil.
Storage of components : Store the components of the e-foil system, the PWR-Foil remote control and the PWR-Foil battery in the original foam packaging, in a safe, dry place, out of direct sunlight, at a temperature between 10° and 28°. (see Safety and Responsibilities p.7 of the service manual).
Wintering the battery: To preserve the battery's longevity, it is ideal to store it at a voltage of around 45V, i.e. 30% charge. Use a voltmeter or the Smart BMS application (if equipped with Bluetooth) to check the voltage (see Safety and Responsibilities p.7).
This is potentially dangerous equipment. It should be stored in a dry place, out of direct sunlight, away from sources of heat and flammable products, at an ideal temperature of 20/28°C.
